What is Slide n Tabata?
Slide uses the XRSlide discs to allow for smooth, fluid, graceful movements. Gliding exercises are extremely versatile; they work multiple muscles while encouraging core stabilization throughout your range of motion. Tabata is based on interval training. 20 seconds of hard effort followed by 10 seconds recovery. Exercises may vary between cardio and resistance to get the whole body working.
What happens in a Slide n Tabata class?
This class is broken up into two sections. The first half is the Slide component which predominantly focuses on toning and strengthening your muscles, including your abs. The second half is Tabata.
Do you need to be fit to attend?
It is optimal to have a base level of core strength and awareness for the Slide section; without this you will find the exercises quite challenging. However, your instructor will provide various options for you, so you can perfect the fundamental moves before p rogressing to the harder versions.
What results will I see from Slide n Tabata?
You certainly will achieve core activation which will improve your core strength, and from the resistance based movements you will improve lean muscle tissue (to assist you to burn maximum calories). In the Tabata half you have the ability to give 100% effort in the intervals, which will place you in your ideal calorie expenditure zone plus aid to improve your fitness.
