Why did you jo in Health Mates?

I joined Health Mates i n December 201 6 with a goal to lose 10 kgs before my daughter’s U niversity graduation in J u ly 2017.

What do you enjoy doing at the gym?

After being sedentary for more than a year I started with group exercise classes as I found them fun and exciting, plus they offered variety to my workouts. I then decided to start Personal Training with one the Personal Trainers at Health Mates, Jesse. I ’d had a Person al Trainer for three years when I Iived in Perth and knew it would work to get the results I was chasing. Jesse has been great and flexible enough to fit in w ith my bus y lifestyle.

What have you achieved since starting?

I’m 10kg lighter and f eel like I’m at a really comfortable weight, plus have so much more energy.

What keeps you motivated to exercise?

I stay motivated by doing 2-3 training sessi ons with Jesse each week, plus do classes in between. I plan to continue on my exercise journey and maintain a healthy lifestyle well into my older years (currently 51 years old).

Your advice to others thinking about getting started:

Always make time, but never make excuses!
